Our Infant/Toddler Curriculum
Our infant/toddler curriculum is designed to foster growth in all areas of development, as well as build a strong learning foundation that promotes success in school and beyond. With engaging planned activities and healthy doses of love and encouragement, our nurturing infant and toddler care is a wonderful training grounds for SuperKidz! Our curriculum focuses on the following areas:
Cognitive Development
Cognitive development focuses on thinking and exploration skills. Developmental goals include:
- Recalling information about the atmosphere
- Recognizing characteristics of people and objects
- Uses senses to explore the environment
Language Development
Language development focuses on the ability to effectively communicate. Developmental goals include:
- Engaging in nonverbal communication
- Using vocalizations and/or words
- Attending to stories, rhymes, and fingerplays
Motor/Physical Development
Motor development focuses on the growth and strengthening of a child’s bones and muscles and ability to move and touch his/her surroundings. Developmental goals include:
- Moving with purpose and coordination
- Demonstrating balance and coordination
- Exhibiting eye-hand coordination
Social Emotional Development
Social emotional development focuses on the expression and management of emotions, and the ability to establish positive relationships with others. Developmental goals include:
- Engaging in social relationships
- Showing attachments and emotional connections
- Expressing and/or recognizing emotions
Creative Expression
Creative expression focuses on using our minds and imaginations to create something that represents ourselves. Developmental goals include:
- Enjoying and engaging in visual arts
- Exploring the movement of self and/or objects
- Showing enjoyment for rhythmic patterns
